A Recipe for Love
The taste of love is
simply one you cannot beat.
It hides in every
nook and cranny,
Pot or pan
In every boiled stew.
But how does one
construct such a perfect concoction?
How does the chef
know what ingredients to choose?
How about I tell you
a little secret,
He does not nor
anyone else do.
For not every stew is
perfection
Not every vegetable
handled with care
Or maybe the spices are
sour
When you were hoping
for something sweet
Not every stew you
taste will ever be a feast.
That is not to say
give up,
Don’t pour them down
the drain.
For you might find
Some extra
ingredients form you
Can create your
perfect stew
Because what is
better than a meal shared and created by two
Julia,
ReplyDeleteI really liked your creativity with the "Recipe For Love", it is very interesting and I enjoyed reading it. However, I would like to see different types of imagery, such as auditory or tactile, so that the descriptions in your post would be that much more vivid. You are very good at using visual imagery creating a scene for the reader. You are also skilled at constructing the personification of love, such as "hides in every nook and cranny". The fact that you made the last words of the last two lines of your poem a rhyming couplet, provides your poem have a very neat ending and is clever. Overall you are a skilled writer, this is a very well written poem and I really enjoyed reading it.
I found some articles that could possibly improve your poem....

I thought this article was a fun and interesting one, for the use of imagery use in real life...
